Candle Cafe

Candle Cafe is by far and away the restaurant I frequent most in NYC. They serve  an organic vegan menu composed of the freshest ingredients available. These are the foods my body craves! I find myself there after a weekend of excess or whenever I want something delicious, cleansing and nutritious. However you do need to be mindful when ordering, as the menu tends to be a bit soy heavy (for example: Tofutti icing on the desserts).

Favorite Appetizers:

SEITAN CHIMICHURRI – Citrus herb marinated seitan skewers.

MEZZE PLATE -Hummus, quinoa tabouli, lemon-date chutney, marinated olives, parata bread and zataar.

Favorite Entrees:

PARADISE CASSEROLE – Layers of sweet potato, black beans and millet over steamed greens with country gravy.

GOOD FOOD PLATE – Choose a combination of four sides paired with two Candle dressings or sauces.


VIVA VERDE – Mixed greens
